NAND encourages parents to become educated about alcohol and other commonly used illegal substances.
Voluntary Student Accident Insurance
FWCS purchases a blanket insurance plan covering students for accidental injuries while participating in school sponsored and supervised activities.
Parents may purchase additional accident insurance coverage. This is not health insurance.
Plan Description: 24-Hour Plan provides schedule benefits for accidents, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Benefits are payable for up to 12 month from injury date.
- Standard Plan: $85
- Economy Plan: $55
- Budget Plan: $39
- Dental in addition to any of the above plans: $7

Periodically during the course of a school year various military organizations ask Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) to assist them by providing a mailing list of students or parents.
If you would not like to be placed on the mailing list that is sent to military organizations, please complete the form furnished below and return it to the individual and location specified on the form.

Help For Students
We want your child to be successful, which is why we offer a variety of support programs to our students. If you feel your child is in need, read more about what we have to offer here (Academic Help). If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher.
Each week, students who have been identified by teachers as needing extra help are bussed to the workplace of their tutors, area business people. Paired for a school year, tutor and student spend one hour together per week. Tutors offer homework assistance but even more importantly, the interest and focused attention of a caring adult.
