COLLEGE CREDIT AND CERTIFICATIONS
INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH CAREERS
You will develop your professional and academic skills as you explore the health science careers. Classroom and lab activities include the foundations of healthcare, basic patient care skills, infection control and human anatomy/physiology.
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (HS SENIORS)
State certified program for students interested in an entry-level position at a long-term care facility or hospital setting. You complete a minimum of 30 classroom hours and 75 clinical hours to be eligible for State CNA certification. Direct patient care skills with the elderly, medical terminology, ethics and anatomy/physiology are included.
INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL ASSISTING (MA)
Multi-skilled MA professionals perform administrative and clinical procedures in a doctor’s office. You will participate in classroom activities, patient simulations, and clinical experiences that will provide knowledge and skills in areas such as vital signs, infection control, phlebotomy, medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, and clerical duties.
Explore the careers of dental assisting, hygiene, and dental laboratory. Our simulated dental office allows hands-on opportunities as you become proficient with infection control procedures, dental and medical terminology and dental instrumentation. Gain real-world experience in a dental office second semester.
