BUS STATUS - ON TIME No buses for this school are more than 15 minutes late.
Indian Village Elementary students in third-fifth grades are learning how to build and code a robot for upcoming Vex IQ robotics competitions. This opportunity has been made available to our students through the TechPoint Foundation for Youth robotic grant obtained by a teacher at Indian Village Elementary. Deep learning is taking place as students work collaboratively to understand the engineering process and share their experience at statewide competitions. The Robotics Team meets after school from 3:15-5 p.m. to work on coding and modifying their design.
Indian Village fifth-graders will participate in the Department of Defense STARBASE Indiana program, sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. At DoD STARBASE, students participate in challenging “hands-on, mind-on" activities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The program provides students with 25 hours of stimulating experiences at the Air National Guard Base in Fort Wayne. They will be attending at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 22 and Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 19.
