Mrs. Kelly Evans Administrative Intern

About Mrs. Evans

I am a true Hoosier, born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana! My husband Tim and I will celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary in September. Our son, Jackson, is 12 years old and will be starting 7th grade at Towles New Tech this year. We also have the best dog ever, Luther! He is a big (100 pound) lap dog and is very spoiled. I love to read and I’m a member of a book group that has been meeting for 20 years. I also love to travel and my favorite place to visit is the East Coast. I love big cities and the ocean, so trips with my family to NYC and the Connecticut shore  happen a lot. Finally, we just bought a place to unwind at Lake Gage, and I’m currently obsessed with finding any home décor from the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s to decorate it!

Educational background

I attended Concordia Lutheran High School and Purdue University. I received my B.A. in Interpersonal and Public Communications with minors in English and Psychology and went to work for several years before I returned to school to receive my Education certificate. I helped develop the Allen County Learning Academy, which is an alternative education program run through the Allen County Juvenile Center. Later, I became an English and Social Studies teacher with FWCS. I have also worked as a School Improvement Coordinator and most recently as an Instructional Coach for the district. I received my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in 2012. I am very excited to be joining the Viking Nation for my administrative internship!
