
Cosmetology & Barbering (Off-Campus)
Students in this Career Academy pathway learn basic and advanced skills including roller control, quick styling, shampooing, hair coloring, permanent waving, facials, bacteriology, sanitation, manicuring and ethics. Students also study anatomy, physiology, professionalism and salon management in relation to cosmetology. Students must complete a summer session of 20 days for 8 hours a day and a total of 1,500 classroom hours as required by the state to begin certification.

Dual credit and employment certification options are offered for this pathway. When students choose an off-campus pathway, they will have three classes at their home school junior and senior years.
