Spots still available for summer driver education - June 02, 2009

Fort Wayne Community Schools is still accepting students for its summer driver education program. FWCS offers two sessions during the summer at Anthis Career Center, 1200 S. Barr St. Session I is June 8-26, and Session II is July 6-24. The courses are open to any student, whether they attend FWCS or not, who is at least 15 years old before the session he or she enrolls in begins. The student also must be currently enrolled and in good standing with a high school. The State of Indiana requires perfect attendance to receive Driver Education Certification; therefore, students with other summer commitments should not enroll. Students can enroll in classroom only instruction, which is $75, driving instruction and road rest, which is $275, or both for $350.
