Northrop students work to fight hunger - November 17, 2008

Northrop High School will host Faces of Hunger/Bowls of Change from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. The event is a fundraiser for Community Harvest Food Bank, which is seeing record need among residents in our community. The evening will include music and entertainment, and dinner is served in bowls and on plates made by Northrop High School students and local artists. Those attending the event will take home a piece of handmade art. Tickets to the event are $20 for adults, $10 for students in grades 9-12, and $5 for students in kindergarten through eighth-grade. The event is sponsored by Fort Wayne Community Schools, Fort Wayne Education Association, Huntington University, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana Wesleyan University, University of Saint Francis, Mike Thomas Associates Realtors and ProFed. Soup for the event is provided by the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission and St. Mary's Soup Kitchen.
