First Lady comes to Bloomingdale - November 06, 2007

Indiana's First Lady Cheri Daniels will visit Bloomingdale Elementary School, 1300 Orchard St., at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7. During her hour-long visit, Mrs. Daniels will read to kindergarten students, sign the school's "Famous Visitor" wall and tour the building with selected fifth-graders. The visit is part of a series of visits the First Lady has made to schools throughout the state encouraging students, parents and teachers to read. Bloomingdale staff and students are excited to welcome Mrs. Daniels to their school. Teaching literacy skills is a top priority for us," Principal Rebecca Schaefer said.
