FWCS sets full-day kindergarten information sessions - July 25, 2007

Fort Wayne Community Schools will hold two information sessions for parents interested in learning more about full-day kindergarten: - Tuesday, July 31, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at South Side High School Auditorium, 3601 S. Calhoun St. - Thursday, Aug. 2, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Snider High School Auditorium, 4600 Fairlawn Pass. Full-day kindergarten teachers and elementary directors will demonstrate the structure and benefits of the full-day program and answer questions about standards, schedules, transportation and other related issues. Information brochures about full-day kindergarten also will be available in all elementary schools beginning July 30. With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken.
