FWCS Graduates Ready for Next Step - May 26, 2016
Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate commencement Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, for the nearly 1,800 members of the Class of 2016.
The members of the Class of 2016 leave their high schools with varied future plans. Some will pursue higher education at institutions such as Indiana University, Purdue University, Morehouse College, Michigan State University and University of Alabama. They will study surgical technology, theater, education, international relations, psychology, anthropology and much more. Some graduates will enter the military or continue working on the technical training they need to start a career in trades such as carpentry or automotive mechanics. Still others will jump right into pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams, focusing on building their own businesses. But before embarking on their new adventures, they will come together one final time for their graduation ceremonies at the Memorial Coliseum.
Commencement ceremonies are held in the Memorial Coliseum at the following times:
- Snider – Friday, June 3, 6 p.m.
- Wayne – Friday, June 3, 7:30 p.m.
- North Side – Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m.
- South Side – Saturday, June 4, noon
- Northrop – Saturday, June 4, 1:30 p.m.
