Driving Question:  
How can we create (code) our voice in education in the I.O.E.

In a world driving by an expanding network of information, 
it is easy to overlook the students’ voice.  However, as website
coders, you have the unique opportunity to contribute to the 
INTERNET OF EVERYTHING as both a user and a creator.
Many of your peers these days spend hours seeking information,
resources, answers, stimulation and/or simply... time wasting.  

YOU will cease to only be a CONSUMER and will be also a CREATOR

Your contribution to the I.O.E. will be a website you code personally
yourself, this will be entirely created using only HTML and CSS, plus
any other markup languages you have learned.
 

I.  ASSERT A CLAIM: THERE IS AN EDUCATIONAL NEED
 
GROUP: 
You will investigate with your   group  members areas of need not met in the educational system. 
  • Could be knowledge based
  • Could be skill based
  • If you can defend it...you can do it (within reason).
INDIVIDUAL:
Individually you will each code your own website that addresses the need that your group has defined.  
  • This can be a very specific need, such as "there are limited resources to teach how polynomials are applied in the real world"
  • Or this can be a very loose application to a need, such as "there is a great need for music in the classroom"
 
 
 

II.  IDENTIFY AN AUDIENCE:  WHO AND WHERE IS IN NEED
 
You will need to identify how your group will meet the needs of a specific audience.  Although how you address the need is up to you as an individual, your audience needs to stay the same! YOU MUST HAVE A CONNECTION BETWEEN ALL THREE!

III. ADDRESS THE NEED:  CODE YOUR WEBSITE

 

 
Your progress and skill level as measured by CODECADEMY will determine what is required for every level.  You will create the rubric for the track you believe best fits your skills.  Remember, ultimately you will ONLY be measured against yourself.
In order for us to publish your site using strictly code and with the support needed to better learn how to use HTML and CSS effectively... we will learn through MOZILLA THIMBLE!

IV. PROMOTING YOUR SITE: REACHING YOUR AUDIENCE

In the final phase of this project you and your group members will need to research REAL ways website designers promote their website and you will carry it out.  What real ways in the IOE will you reach your audience?
