FWCS Online Registration Ends Friday

Parents of Fort Wayne Community Schools students are encouraged to register their children for the 2020-21 school year online at fwcs.info/MyFWCS by noon Friday, July 17.

Families who do not register online will need to register in a drive-thru registration at their child’s school July 23, 24 or 27. This option is being made available for those not able to complete registration online but could result in long lines and wait times.

Those attending the drive-thru registration will need to bring photo identification and two proofs of residency (utility bill, bank statement, mortgage or rental papers, etc.). New students will also need proof of age, such as a birth certificate, and immunization records.

Drive-thru school registrations will take place:

  • Thursday, July 23, 2-6 p.m.
  • Friday, July 24, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Monday, July 27, 8 a.m.-noon

 

For families with complex situations, such as homelessness, residing with a family member or friend, or other unusual situation, the FWCS Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center will have drive-thru registration July 23-24 and 27-29 during the following times:

  • Thursday, July 23, 2-6 p.m.
  • Friday, July 24, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Monday, July 27, 8 a.m.-noon
  • Tuesday, July 28, 2-6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 29, 8 a.m.-noon

With nearly 30,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is one of the largest school districts in Indiana. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 50 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken. FWCS offers seven magnet schools focusing on areas such as science and math, communication, fine arts or Montessori at the elementary and middle school level. In high school, students can choose from the prestigious International Baccalaureate program, Project Lead the Way or New Tech Academy as well as other rigorous academic and specialty training programs.
