When to file FAFSA?

The 2024 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is expected to be available in December 2023. Completing the FAFSA allows you to have access to state and federal financial aid, school scholarships and grants.

Get help from the Office of College and Career Readiness Join us for one of our monthly FAF$A Completion Days at the Family and Community Engagement Center located at 230 E. Douglas Ave. from Noon - 7 p.m.

Please be sure that you are prepared with the following information:
  • Student FSA ID to sign electronically
  • Student’s Social Security Number
  • Student’s Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Your 2023 federal income tax returns, W-2’s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool)
  • Bank Statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
  • Names of colleges or universities you are considering

PARENTS

Please be sure that you are prepared with the following information:
  • Parent FSA ID to sign electronically
  • Parents’ Social Security Number
  • Parents’ 2023 federal income tax returns, W-2s and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool)
