Don’t Pay More For College
When to file FAF$A?
Students and families can begin filing the FAF$A on October 1, 2022 at the FAF$A website. Completing the FAF$A (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) allows you to have access to state and federal financial aid, school scholarships and grants.

College and Career Readiness
The College and Career Readiness Team will assist you and your family in completing the FAF$A. We will launch the FWCS FAF$A COMPLETION with a kick-off event on Saturday, October 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Family and Community Engagement Center, 230 East Douglas Avenue.
Can’t make the kick-off event? We will host monthly FAF$A COMPLETION DAYS at the Family and Community Engagement Center from Noon - 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

What To Bring

STUDENTS
Please be sure that you are prepared with the following information:
- Student FSA ID to sign electronically
- Student’s Social Security Number
- Student’s Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
- Your 2021 federal income tax returns, W-2’s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAF$A using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool)
- Bank Statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- Names of College or Universities you are considering

PARENTS
Please be sure that you are prepared with the following information:
- Parent FSA ID to sign electronically
- Parents’ Social Security Number
