Weisser Park first-graders share Common Threads

First-graders at Weisser Park Arts Magnet School will share their Common Threads performance at 6:30 p.m. The first-graders studied the African book, "We All Went On Safari: A Counting Journey Through Tanzania," by Laurie Krebs. Each fine arts teacher collaborated with one first-grade class to tell the story through a specific art form, such as music, drama, visual arts and media arts technology. An encore performance for the school will be held on March 27, at 9:15 a.m.

With nearly 31,000 students, Fort Wayne Community Schools is Indiana's largest school district. FWCS proudly allows families to choose any of its 51 schools through its successful school-choice program creating diversity in each school, including some with more than 75 languages spoken.
