FWCS Approves New Administrators

Pamela Musick, Elementary Area Administrator
Pamela Musick joins FWCS as the Elementary Area
Administrator, replacing Dan Bickel, who retired in June after 21 years with the District. Musick began her
career in education as a special education teacher in 1976 with the Fayette County School Corporation. She
worked as a special education teacher and administrator in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Hawaii over the next 25
years. In addition, she worked as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1991-93
and at Indiana University East from 1998-2000. In 2000, Musick joined Pearson Learning Group where she started
as an educational consultant and rose to Vice President and National Director of Teaching and Learning. Most
recently, she served as the Vice President of Instructional Services, Basal and Supplemental for Pearson.
Musick received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State Universityand a master’s degree from the
University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Patrick Hubler, Blackhawk Middle School
Patrick Hubler joins FWCS as principal of Blackhawk Middle
School, replacing Tim Matthias who retired after 41 years with the District. Hubler comes to FWCS from
Blackford Junior High School in Hartford City where he served as principal. He began his career in education
in 1990 as a sixth-grade teacher in South Bend. He continued teaching until 2006 when he took his first
administrative position at Discovery Middle School in Granger. Hubler received his bachelor’s and
master’s degrees from Indiana University at South Bend and completed the principal licensure program at
Indiana Wesleyan University.
